Benjamin Chewter  -   Assistant Organist

Benjamin Chewter is the Assistant Organist at Lincoln Cathedral, where his duties include playing for many of the Cathedral’s statutory services, assisting with the training of the choristers (including the tuition of the probationers), teaching at Lincoln Minster School and directing both the Cathedral Consort and Lincoln Chorale.  As an organist and conductor he has performed extensively throughout the United Kingdom and abroad (including Germany, Sweden, Belgium and Mexico).  Benjamin was educated at Christ’s Hospital School and held the Organ Scholarship at Canterbury Cathedral before going up to Emmanuel College, Cambridge as Organ Scholar in 2003 (where he read Music and and directed the College Choir).  Before moving to Lincoln, Benjamin held the Organ Scholarship at Westminster Abbey.
